Karen Wright
Karen Wright is an executive coach practicing in Toronto, Canada. Founder and Managing Director of Parachute Executive Coaching, Karen has been a trailblazer in the field of professional coaching in Canada since the mid-1990's. Before becoming a professional coach, Karen enjoyed a successful career in consumer packaged goods marketing and advertising, and founded one of Canada's first cause marketing consultancies. Karen is a Master Certified Coach, the highest designation granted by the International Coach Federation, and was the first professional coach to be certified in Canada.
Karen's coaching experience spans numerous industries including financial services, technology, communications, health care, professional services, government, the arts and not for profit. She has worked most extensively in the areas of leadership and high-potential talent development, career management, communication skills and team effectiveness. She also continues to work with individuals who are creating their next stage of success and fulfillment, and has created a proprietary process for describing individual and organizational vision, mission and purpose.
Karen received her MBA in Marketing from the Richard Ivey School of Business, and her undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Western Ontario. She completed coach training from two of the industry's leading accredited schools and has been a trainer for both organizations. Karen is a nationally published columnist, a frequent contributor to a variety of media and is a sought after keynote speaker and workshop facilitator. A past Board member and founder of the Toronto Chapter for the International Coach Federation, Karen is also on the Board of Directors of Bridgepoint Health, Earth Day Canada and the Ivey Alumni Association.
Karen enjoys yoga and running, reads great fiction every chance she gets, and is the mother to two young boys who are a constant reminder of what's really important.
